Overview of Common Bermudagrass

Common Bermudagrass, also known as wiregrass, is a warm-season perennial turfgrass. It spreads laterally through stems called Rhizomes and Stolons. It has excellent heat and drought tolerance but cannot tolerate shade. It can be a very invasive and difficult grass to control.

How did it get into my lawn?

Bermudagrass is prevalent in our climate, particularly in sunny areas. Central Virginia's transitional climate often results in mixed turf strands.

How do I get rid of it?

While Bermudagrass has no permanent solution, Virginia Green offers an effective approach to manage this invasive grass.

And you can follow this with the solution details below.
